"Smartphone users require fast, secure and reliable access to information," said Jerry Panagrossi, vice president of US Operations, Symbian, and Symbian CRM technology is an ideal customer relationship management solution for enterprises deploying Smartphones throughout their businesses.

Symbian CRM is the most favored customer relationship management system for Smart Phones and Nokia Communicator devices. This is a market with high growth potential. There is little doubt about the viability of Nokia-controlled Symbian —a rival to Palm OS, Microsoft's Windows CE and embedded Linux—for all types of applications, including those designed for high-end corporate use. The Nokia 9500 Communicator, a device previously dubbed "The Brick" because of its size and heft, features two small color displays and a QWERTY keyboard. It is 5.8 inches tall, 2.25 inches wide and 0.9 millimeters thick, with a weight of 7.8 ounces—nearly half a pound.

According to research by IDC, in 2003 Symbian-based devices were holding a 67 percent market share of the Smartphone market, followed by Microsoft at 14 percent and Palm at 13 percent. In 2007, IDC estimates Symbian will have a 61 percent market share, followed by Microsoft at 21 percent and Palm at 11 percent.

Symbian is a leader in providing a platform for rich mobile data services and applications. The broad base of applications available for Symbian make fast efficient customer care more important than ever before if mobile operators are to fully realize the revenue potential from these phones.

Sales and Marketing reps can now provide next generation automated customer care to their clients using Symbian CRM on Symbian-based Smartphones, enabling organizations to dramatically reduce customer care expenses while significantly improving customer satisfaction.
